The Lola T-70 is one of the truly great sports cars. The designer and builder Eric Broadley, gained wide recognition for his Lola GT and then for his efforts in the Ford GT project. The chassis of this thoroughbred is of semi-monocoque construction fabricated from alloy and light steel and the body is of fiberglass reinforced plastic. John Surtees, driving the factory entered Lola T-70, won three events in 1966 to become the first Can-Am champion.
