He was known for his ability to set up his own race car and drive it consistently to the absolute limit. Monogram McLaren M6A #11 Lothar Motschenbacher 1/32 Slot Car
Can-Am racing captured the attention of auto aficionados from 1966 through 1974. Lothar Motschenbacher was one of the sport's most prolific drivers, missing only the 1973 season. In 1968 - the third year of Can Am competition - Motschenbacher drove the red #11 McLaren M6B, and finished fifth overall. Although he never won a championship during his career, Motschenbacher did establish a record of 53 consecutive race starts that endures to this day.
