Powered by a 366 cubic inch Chevrolet V8, it competed in four events under Holbert's ownership, snagging the win in 3 of the 4 races, coming in second in the fourth race. The #56 March 83G of the Blue Thunder race team carried drivers Randy Lanier and Bill Whittington to multiple victories.
