Fits in any Semroc #16 (1.640" diameter) size body tube which is used in these kits - Goliath, Hydra VII, Vega, etc. Also, the outer diameter of the baffle plates can be lightly sanded to fit in any Estes BT60 (1.637" diameter) size body tube. Ejection Baffles are used to help protect the recovery system from hot ejection gases. As the model rocket engine produces the burst of hot gas at ejection time, they are diverted through the maze of holes to break the forward flow. This gives the burning particles time to burn out before hitting the parachute or streamer. Simply assemble, insert into body tube, and glue into place. Kit contains ejection baffle parts and Kevlar thread for attachment to your elastic or rubber shock cord. Made in the USA |
