Skill Level 2 The SLS Arcas is a 1/2 scale model of the very popular sounding rocket manufactured by Atlantic Research Corporation in the late 50's and early 60's. Over 14,000 were manufactured, making it one of the most flown sounding rockets ever. Using blueprints, the precision turned balsa nosecone was completely redesigned to match the original secant ogive. The laser-cut basswood fins and precision sanded balsa tail cone are also faithful reproductions, down to the bolts that held the fins to the casing in the original.
