The CIRCUITRON BD-1 is a Block Occupancy Detector that provides positive indication whenever a section of a layout is occupied by any piece of rolling stock. The BD-1 uses tiny Opto-Sensors mounted between the rails at the end points of the block to be protected. No modifications to rolling stock are necessary, and the BD-1 is completely bi-directional. The BD-1 contains all the driver circuitry necessary to power two-color LED or incandescent lamp block signals.
